I HOPE THIS HELPS!
Written & Directed By Daniel Freed
Executive Produced by Matthew Modine & Adam Rackoff
I Hope This Helps!, a documentary that explores the promise and peril of artificial intelligence.
Writer-director Daniel Freed enlisted Google’s AI chatbot Bard to help create the documentary, described as a “humorous, genre-bending hybrid film” that invites viewers to ponder “the evolving relationship between humanity and technology.”
Responding to prompts from the filmmaker, Google’s Bard fashioned a furry blue creature with big eyes to (one imagines) lessen the menacing specter of AI.

The CT premiere screening will precede a panel on AI/Technology in Society with EPs Matthew Modine and Adam Rackoff, in conversation with Dr. Julian Jara-Ettinger from Yale University and journalist Karly Kingsley. Moderated by Justin Matley.
Both events are Friday, January 10th at the Norwalk Conservatory of the Arts at 69 Wall Street.
The Opening Night Party will follow in the same location.

RATIFIED
Directed By Deborah Riley Draper & Sabaah Folayan
Poster Featuring Artwork by Chuck Sperry
RATIFIED is a feature documentary about the 100-year struggle for constitutional gender equality, an inspiring story of a multi-racial, multi-generational, bi-partisan effort to make Virginia the 38th and final state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. It's also a story of how bureaucracy is used to stifle progress, and it takes a close look at the incredible perseverance of women - specifically, the Black women leaders who have taken their rightful place at the front of the movement for gender equality. Our impact campaign will activate 15,000,000 Americans on the issue of gender equality.
Norwalk Film Festival is partnering with Fund for Women & Girls at Fairfield County’s Community Foundation to present this special screening of the documentary. After the screening we will be joined by members of FCCF as well as political leaders and activists to participate in a panel discussion and Q&A about the film and our current political environment.
The film will be introduced by FCCF’s Mendi Blue Paca. Following the film, we will host a panel with producer Emily Best, FCCF’s Lutonya Russell-Humes, and Yale Campaign School’s Patti Russo.
Note: To Purchase tickets for ONLY the Ratified screening, select the “Saturday Feature - Ratified” Ticket Option on Eventbrite. Weekend passes also include admission to the Ratified Screening.
